Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (1920–1975) was the founding father of Bangladesh and its first President. Born in Tungipara, Mymensingh, he led the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. After India's partition, he demanded East Pakistan's independence, leading to the Bangladesh Liberation War. He was assassinated in 1975 by his own security forces. His legacy includes the establishment of Bangladesh as an independent nation. His daughter, Sheikh Hasina, later became the country's Prime Minister.
